Epson debuts ultrafast inkjet multi-function printer and new replaceable ink packs

New WorkForce Enterprise Series reinvents office inkjet printing at ultrafast speeds of 100ppm

Epson’s latest WorkForce Enterprise multi-function inkjet printer, the WF-C20590, offers speedy printing at 100 pages per minute (ppm).


Its ultra-fast output is thanks to its PrecisionCore linehead technology which features 33,500 nozzles and a width of 43mm, with a fixed print head as opposed to the usual moving print head.


The fixed print head allows for both speed and precision at 100ipm for both simplex and duplex modes. It also supports a wide range of paper types, up to 350gsm.
Epson states its WorkForce Enterprise series offers energy savings of up to 75% less power consumption in comparison to standard laser printers, effectively lowering electricity costs with a higher efficiency.


Minimal warm up time is also required for printing jobs, thanks to the PrecisionCore Thin Film Piezo technology which requires no heat to operate unlike conventional inkjet technologies.


Epson also launched its new ultra-high capacity ink cartridges that are capable of yielding up to 100,000 pages in black and 50,000 pages in colour offering more output and reduced consumables usage.


The new cartridges are a good complement to the high capacity paper feed unit that has the option for up to 5,350 sheets for input and 4,000 for paper output.


Also of note is the printhead’s self-maintaining feature that automatically detects and adjusts print head performance, preventing clogged ink nozzles. Print output is also water-resistant, fade-resistant and fast-drying, making quality high speed print results possible.


The WorkForce Enterprice line offers further cost-saving thanks to needing fewer component replacements. Only the paper feed rollers will need to be replaced, as opposed to the multiple print head, drums and fuser components in competing laser printers.
