Dyson Airblade 9kJ Launch: New Hand Dryer Costs Just US$19 A Year To Run

Energy efficiency is the name of the game, and the brand new Dyson Airblade 9kJ hand dryer is here to not only save costs for malls and businesses but also to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

Using only 9 kilojoules of energy per dry in Eco Mode, this hand dryer promises to dry hands completely in 12 seconds. For malls with high footfall, there’s also a higher-powered Max Mode which dries hands within 10 seconds. The carbon emission for Eco and Max modes are 2.5g and 3.0g of CO2 per dry, as opposed to 16.8g and 17.1g for warm air dryers and paper towels respectively.

The Dyson digital motor V4 moves 23 litres of air per second for that fast dry. There’s also a fleece-lined glass fibre HEPA filter that traps up to 99.95% of particles, bacteria and viruses, to ensure that the air used to dry hands is clean and bacteria-free.

With up to 87% less energy consumption than warm air dryers and up to 85% less carbon dioxide emissions per dry, the Dyson Airblade 9kJ is definitely something to look into for businesses looking to minimise their environmental impact while still being cost-efficient.
