Xiaomi Teams Up with NIO, Xpeng, and Li Auto in EV-Charging Collaboration

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has recently announced a groundbreaking partnership with leading electric vehicle manufacturers NIO, Xpeng Motors, and Li Auto. Xiaomi's CEO, Lei Jun, revealed on the popular Chinese microblogging platform Weibo that Xiaomi electric vehicle owners will soon have access to the extensive EV charging networks established by these companies. Through this collaboration, Xiaomi customers will be able to utilise nearly 30,000 fast chargers owned by the US-listed Chinese EV trio directly through the Xiaomi app.

NIO, a key player in the electric vehicle market, is set to share 14,000 of its chargers with Xiaomi. The company has already established an impressive network of 21,646 public chargers as of November, making it the largest EV-charging provider among automakers, according to data from the China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance. In addition to NIO's chargers, Xiaomi owners will also have access to over 9,000 chargers from Xpeng Motors and 6,000 chargers from Li Auto, enhancing the convenience and accessibility of charging options for Xiaomi electric vehicle users.
